Together we will determine the most appropriate therapy to help relieve your pain and discomfort. Any of these therapies may be used in one session.
Swedish Massage
Massage oil or cream is used with smooth, gliding strokes. Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension and create other health benefits. It is a classic massage that will ease your stress and allow you to slip into a calm state of relaxation.
Deep Tissue Massage
Designed to remove severe tension, deep tissue massage is a technique used to relieve both muscles and connective tissue below the surface. It helps to improve range of motion and heal injuries below the surface.
Therapeutic/Orthopedic Massage
Therapeutic or Orthopedic massage is designed to treat medical conditions and requires extensive training. It involves releasing tense muscles, helping to stretch tight muscles and tendons, and decompress stiff joints. The goal is to restore full health to the soft tissues of your body, both treating your specific conditions as well as improving your overall well-being.
CranioSacral Therapy
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. It was pioneered and developed by Osteopathic Physician John E. Upledger after years of clinical testing and research at Michigan State University where he served as professor of biomechanics.
Using a soft touch which is generally no greater than 5 grams“about the weight of a nickel“ practitioners release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system. CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and it's effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction
